“Rose Colored'' is a piece that questions the idea of seeing the world through rose colored lenses. Rose colored glasses can be beautiful to look through but other times they obstruct your view and alter reality. Experiencing la vie en rose allows for a more tender, optimistic, and heartfelt view of life but can also be accompanied with naivety and a skewed perception of reality. This piece draws viewers in and allows them to completely circle it and observe the changing qualities of each material used. The glasses are shattered with unique shards to remind the viewer that reality can be viewed in a myriad of ways.
